About the Event
Confused by the idea of detoxing and cleansing?
Feeling a little sluggish after the winter?
In need of an energy boost?
The Spring Clear Medicine Hideout is for you!
The theme of this Hideout is the rejuvenation and cleansing of Spring. Our intention is to give you space and tools to take home which will enable you to make the most of this season of renewal.
As the days now become warmer and brighter we can start to emerge with a clearer vision and sense of purpose. Now is really the time to renew the excitement and zest for life!
Over the Hideout we are going to be working with the Detox Food Plan from the Institute For Functional Medicine. No fad diets, days of juicing or feeling deprived over your stay with us. In fact you won't believe the menu we have in store for you. View our menu for the weekend here.
As always all the food is organic, home made and as local and seasonal as we can possible manage.
The Detox Food Plan will give you a practical experience of how to refresh your diet after the winter using food to support your body and improve energy.
Debbie's Hideout talks are going to be busting the myths on detox.
We'll cover what detox is, what it isn't and how it can be something you do every day. Not only will you understand the theory of detoxification but have a practical experience of it throughout your time on the Hideout. You will also leave with lots of tips and techniques you can start using as soon as you get home to cleanse your body, mind and lifestyle.
Lisa's Hideout yoga practices have been designed to support both body and mind as we move into Spring.
There will be a combination of movement, breath and meditation practices to gently detox, invigorate and nurture. Morning yoga will combine an easy mixture of flowing movements to soften and stimulate alongside specific practices to strengthen and energise.
Evening yoga will be restorative and more meditative. Soothing the nervous system with a focus on grounding body and mind.
Over the Hideout you are welcome to join us for -
- daily talks
- 2 yoga practices each day
- a life coaching and goal setting workshop
- crystal singing bowl relaxation session
- a seasonal craft activity
- workshop on how to make fermented foods
- Q&A sessions with Lisa, Debbie and Gill (our amazing chef!)
Our Spring Hideout is going to be held in the beautiful setting of Hellens Manor, deep in the Hereford countryside. We will be staying in the Georgian Stables of the 11th century manor house which has been recently converted using ecologically careful choices.
Rainwater is harvested for toilets, the heating is fired by wood from the estate, the windows, doors and beds have all been made locally from timber in their woodlands.
In keeping with the historical aesthetic of Hellens Manor there is one large room in the Georgian Stables with a kitchen where we will gather and eat together. The bedrooms offer serene simplicity, with locally sourced, handcrafted furniture.
We will also be using the Great Barn for our evening and morning yoga practice and you are free to explore the gardens of Hellens Manor during your stay.
