Winter Hideout At Hellens Manor
Time & Location
About the Event
Winter is a time of contemplation and restoration.
This is not the time to be exerting ourselves but focusing on our resources, reflecting on the year and making plans for the spring.
This theme will run thought our winter Hideout. We will be encouraging you to reflect with our mediation and journaling practices, move slowly and gently in our yoga and learn to nourish our bodies with food to support our immune system.
Our sessions will be focused on -
How to strengthen the body's resilience through choosing the best diet
The science behind the stress response and how simple lifestyle changes can have a significant effect on our long term health
How to support the immune system to get us through the winter
Our winter Hideout is going to be held in the beautiful setting of Hellens Manor, deep in the Hereford countryside. We will be staying in the Georgian Stables of the 11th century manor house which has been recently converted using ecologically careful choices.
Rainwater is harvested for toilets, the heating is fired by wood from the estate, the windows, doors and beds have all been made locally from timber in their woodlands.
In keeping with the historical aesthetic of Hellens Manor there is one large room in the Georgian Stables with a kitchen where we will gather and eat together. The bedrooms offer serene simplicity, with locally sourced, handcrafted furniture.
A perfect space for calm and contemplation.
We will also be using the Great Barn for our evening and morning yoga practice and you are free to explore the gardens of Hellens Manor during your stay.
Much Marcle is easy to access off the M50.
