A Winter Hideout - for women - in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside to reflect, restore and nourish.
Winter Hideout 2019
Welcome to the Winter Clear Medicine Hideout for 2019!
Again we will be returning to the beautiful setting of Hellens Manor, deep in the Hereford countryside.
We will be staying in the Georgian Stables of the 11th century manor house which has been recently converted using ecologically careful choices.
Rainwater is harvested for toilets, the heating is fired by wood from the estate, the windows, doors and beds have all been made locally from timber in their woodlands.
In keeping with the historical aesthetic of Hellens Manor there is one large room in the Georgian Stables with a kitchen where we will gather and eat together. The bedrooms offer serene simplicity, with locally sourced, handcrafted furniture.
We will also be using the stunning Great Barn for evening and morning yoga practices and you are free to explore the gardens of Hellens Manor during your stay.
Throughout our Winter Hideout we will be incorporating gentle movement and yoga(no need to be able to touch your toes!)alongside food to strengthen and support your immune system.
On our Hideouts we never promote faddy diets. Just researched based eating to gently cleanse the body, increase energy. We'll also give you a plan you can stick to when you get home.
Gill has prepared a feast for us as always. You can find the full menu here.
Brunch being our favourite meal of the day is always the highlight on a Hideout. For the winter weekend we're having
Saturday - Scandi style spread of wild smoked salmon, anchovies, avocado, fennel, pickled cucumber, sauerkraut, radish, nut bread, unpasteurised organic butter.
Sunday - Welsh laverbread with organic bacon. Mushrooms with walnuts, roast cherry tomatoes and eggs.
We will be a small group - limited to 14 women – so lots of time and space for rest, calm and contemplation.
